Cinema isn't a life. Cinema, the f...I disagree. Cinema isn't a life. Cinema, the film itself is an illusion. The movie making process: casting, funding, marketing, filming production, analyzing, rewriting is more "life" than the final product. The final product is an edited, polished version. It's like plastic surgery - facelifts and fake boobs - all edited, all synthetic.<br /><br />Art form that comes closer to life than cinema are live performances. Specifically, Broadway aka The Great White Way, musicals to be exact. Every performance is different than the precedent one. Directors make their editing during rehearsals. If mistakes are made during a live performance there is no editing; everyone sees it, and more than likely no one will dismiss it. In live theater (straight play or musical) it IS life. It's alive and breathing for all too see. I would say cinema is more like a photograph: you can view over and over again. Live theater: since it's live, you blink once and you'll miss it. Might as well take a picture or save the Playbill.<br /><br />Cinema is life?
